The Housing Department is dedicated to providing secure and healthy housing for tribal members in Klukwan. It oversees rental housing management, new construction, rehabilitation projects, and implements the NAHASDA program. The department also runs the Healthy Homes Program to address environmental concerns inside homes and support long-term wellness. Through affordable housing and homeownership opportunities, the department strengthens family stability and community vitality within Klukwan.

Realty Program

The Chilkat Indian Village Realty program provides professional land management services to Native Landowners of restricted properties. The program services include allotment adjudication, rights protection, land conveyance procedures, land management-counseling, probate, and Last Will and Testaments preparation. To be eligible to receive services by the Realty Program you must own or have a potential interest in restricted property. Grant program to help eligible Indians & Alaska Natives repair/renovate existing housing, and in some special cases, build New Homes. Please read the flyer for further instructions. You can find the application at the CIV office, or on the website under Tribal Services.
